The Daily Crazy - March 3, 2008

*singing*
Well it's all right, riding around in the breeze
Well it's all right, if you live the life you please
Well it's all right, doing the best you can
Well it's all right, as long as you lend a hand

You can sit around and wait for the phone to ring (End of the Line)
Waiting for someone to tell you everything (End of the Line)
Sit around and wonder what tomorrow will bring (End of the Line)
Maybe a diamond ring

Well it's all right, even if they say you're wrong
Well it's all right, sometimes you gotta be strong
Well it's all right, As long as you got somewhere to lay
Well it's all right, everyday is Judgment Day

Maybe somewhere down the road aways (End of the Line)
You'll think of me, wonder where I am these days (End of the Line)
Maybe somewhere down the road when somebody plays (End of the Line)
Purple haze

Well it's all right, even when push comes to shove
Well it's all right, if you got someone to love
Well it's all right, everything'll work out fine
Well it's all right, we're going to the end of the line

Don't have to be ashamed of the car I drive (End of the Line)
I'm glad to be here, happy to be alive (End of the Line)
It don't matter if you're by my side (End of the Line)
I'm satisfied

Well it's all right, even if you're old and gray
Well it's all right, you still got something to say
Well it's all right, remember to live and let live
Well it's all right, the best you can do is forgive

Well it's all right, riding around in the breeze
Well it's all right, if you live the life you please
Well it's all right, even if the sun don't shine
Well it's all right, we're going to the end of the line
- Traveling Wilburys (End of the Line)

I had plenty of songs running through my melon (one being Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust") ... but this one fits the best. It's the end of the line, but it's alright. *wink*

It was a very interesting day on Friday. Hence, no blog. *grimace* The whistling boulder finally dropped on our heads.

Lots more people let go (and/or given a 2 week vacation... I am ridiculously jealous of ye who will remain unnamed... but I want to HUG you with happiness and congrats... *GRIN*), some given a temp position to stay on with the company until it fades out, some given a temp position with the new company, and very few given an offer to go off with the new company permanently.

Even with some of this being good news... it was a sad day. Survivor's Guilt at being left behind. Especially when I don't understand why. I think it was cheaper to do so ... (severance vs. 2 weeks pay) But still. It would have actually done me a favor demmit. *grumble... expletive*

I was one of very few given a permanent offer to go with the new company. I cannot deny that I am both relieved and elated. But it's a rough few weeks ahead. Nothing is definite at this point ... and it won't be for another two weeks. So I am going to be purple from holding my breath in anticipation.

OK, nuff said on the crazy stressful front. Now on to some very good solid advice.

Never EVER get on the treadmill if you have to go to the bathroom. Even at the slightest HINT. And drinking water while on it, just makes it worse. (insert the very loud "DUH" here)

Holy mackarel.

Try doing the pee-pee dance while walking in place at a good clip. Such a bad idea...

However, me being stubborn, I had to at least go for the full 20 minutes (though I've been going longer... just because... inside joke... *snicker*)

I made it... barely... and I don't think I've ever bounded up the basement steps faster once I was done. Ha! I win.

Funny stuff...

Congratulations Miss Jennifer, I hope what you got is what you were hoping to get. Or something like that anyway.
